New CEO for the Italian Assyst branch

As of September the 1st 2021, Antonio Sgroi will take over as CEO of the Italian subsidiary, based in Lainate (MI) and operating in Italy since 1989, after Luca Salvatori, who led the company solidly during the complicated period of the Covid pandemic.

Antonio Sgroi brings to Assyst more than thirty years of experience in the market of 2D and 3D CAD, PLM and cutting room technologies for the fashion, upholstery and composites industries, having held managerial roles in the main players of the market. Since 2011 he is also a member of the Antia Board of Directors, that is the Italian Association of the professional technicians of the fashion system.

“My previous tasks have provided me with an in-depth understanding of fashion as well as technical textiles processes and an understanding that digital transformation is an indispensable step for the industry. In particular, 3D is the key technology for successful digitalization.
